Carlotta is PhD candidate at the Psychology’s department at the Catholic University of Sacred Heart and, at the same university, she graduated in psychology for organizations. She completed a master's degree in “Data Analytics and Marketing Intelligence”, and she worked as a junior qualitative researcher.

She gained expertise in quantitative analysis and in using neuroscientific tools such as electroencephalogram (EEG) and biofeedback (autonomic indices). Her research interests involve the study of multisensorial integration mechanisms, especially in the marketing context, and neuroscience applied in organizations.

She is an academic tutor for the 1st-level Post-Graduate Master Degree "Neuromanagement for Organizations: Neuroassessment, Neuroempowerment, and Innovation”.

She is a member of the International Research Center for Cognitive Applied Neuroscience (IrcCAN), Faculty of Psychology, and of the Research Unit in Affective and Social Neuroscience, Department of Psychology, UCSC. She is an associated member of the Italian Association of Psychology (AIP). She is also in the Editorial Staff of the international journal Neuropsychological Trends.

In 2021 she received the IrcCAN award, as a result of her dissertation focusing on neuroscience applications of innovative wearable devices for visual-sensory-motor neurorehabilitation and enhancement.
